Vehicle Listing Rules and Advertising Standards

Advertiser and vehicle

• Advertise only a vehicle you own or are authorised to advertise.
• Use the correct private-seller or dealer status. Traders must not pose as private sellers.
• State registration, make, model, derivative, age, mileage and material specification accurately.
• Disclose material damage, write-off status, known safety defects, import status, outstanding finance or other facts likely to affect a buyer's decision.
• Do not advertise a stolen, unsafe, non-existent or unlawfully possessed vehicle.

Price and finance

• Display the genuine total cash price including unavoidable charges.
• Do not use bait prices, hidden mandatory fees, false discounts or misleading comparisons.
• Clearly identify optional charges and conditions.
• Finance promotions must be fair, clear and not misleading, and must be made or approved by an authorised person unless lawfully exempt.

Photos, text and reviews

• Use current images of the actual vehicle unless clearly labelled otherwise.
• Do not copy content without permission, hide important damage, manipulate images deceptively, keyword-stuff or create duplicates.
• Reviews and endorsements must reflect genuine experience; incentivised content must be clearly disclosed.
• Do not include harassment, discrimination, malware, third-party personal data or off-platform scam instructions.

Lifecycle and moderation

Update, pause or remove an advert promptly if details change, the vehicle is reserved or sold, or you lose authority to advertise it. CarZoon may request evidence, edit presentation without changing meaning, reject or remove a listing, restrict reach, suspend an account or report suspected illegality. Approval or publication is not an endorsement or vehicle inspection.
